Peripheral Enhancements Reveals New Company Name To Align With Top Selling Product Brand

Dallas, TX - August 6, 2004

Peripheral Enhancements Corporation, a leading supplier of RAM and Flash memory upgrades, portable computing products, storage devices and other experience-enhancing technologies announced today that is has changed its name to EDGE Tech Corp. The new company name establishes a clearer link between the company and its highly successful EDGE™ product brand.

EDGE Tech Corp founder, Jeff Thompson, gave the company the name "Peripheral" at its inception in 1986. "Though the company name has been Peripheral for almost two decades, we are known in the marketplace by our product brand, EDGE. A company name change has been imminent for quite some time. No one wants to have a corporate identity challenge but having one as a result of a highly successful product brand is not all bad," stated Thompson, President and CEO.

Since its launch in 1997, the EDGE brand has seen tremendous growth within the U.S. technology channel. The brand has become a symbol of the company's superior quality, exceptional customer service, and its diverse selection of cutting-edge computing products, rapidly expanding to meet new customer needs.
