EDGE Tech Corp. Recognized by Oklahoma Organizations as an Oklahoma Certified Healthy Business Program

EDGE Tech Corp received Merit Certification by working toward developing specific activities in seven wellness categories. Healthy EDGE encourages healthy lifestyles for EDGE Team Members by:

• Making published materials available, including pamphlets, brochures, posters, newsletters, etc.
• Providing space with equipment for exercise with access to family members
• Promoting a walking club
• Hosting "Lunch and Learns" concerning diabetes and cancer awareness
• Offering team sports
• Promoting Oklahoma's Tobacco Quit Line
• Providing an on-site tobacco cessation program with the option for family members to attend
• Offering health insurance to Team Members
• Providing contests and incentives
• Providing CPR training opportunities
• Providing workplace safety classes (safe lifting, etc.)
• Offering stress management courses
• Offering healthy vending selection
• Posting nutritional information and links on company Intranet

The organizations recognizing EDGE as a 2008 Oklahoma Certified Healthy Business include the Oklahoma Academy for State Goals, the Oklahoma Turning Point Council, the State Chamber of Oklahoma, and the Oklahoma State Department of Health. The program was initiated in 2003 and currently has certified almost 500 businesses.
