What is a MicroSDHC Card?
MicroSDHC cards are a type of memory card that is used in many digital devices. The successor to MicroSD, they are superior in every way than their older brother. Though not quite universally compatible with older devices that use MicroSD Cards, the firmware can generally be updated on the older devices to handle the newer technology. An older device that cannot handle MicroSDHC will simply not recognize it. Most MicroSD cards over 2GB in size are actually MicroSDHC cards, though there are some 4GB MicroSD cards that are not. They are currently available in sizes up to 32GB. They can use the same converters as MicroSD cards to convert up to standard SD, or MiniSD. Though these cards are typically formatted in FAT 32, they also can support most general purpose file systems.
