    microSDHC™ (Micro Secure Digital High Capacity) is the successor to the popular microSD™ card format. Designed for next-generation mobile devices, EDGE microSDHC cards supplies users with immense storage capacities.

    Amazingly, EDGE microSDHC cards measure about half the size of a fingernail, and manage to command a capacity of 4GB. A 4GB card gives users enough storage for approximately 1,000 MP3s or 2,667 pictures!

    EDGE microSDHC cards also carry the fastest available Class 6 speed rating (4GB and 8GB only), so you can transfer files faster than ever.

    All EDGE microSDHC cards are bundled with a full-size SDHC Memory Card adapter, making it easy to insert into popular card readers and use as a standard SDHC card.

    Users don’t have to settle for the built-in storage that phones and other devices provide just out of the box. EDGE microSDHC cards provide optimal performance to devices with memory upgrade needs.

    What is SDHC?

    SDHC or Secure Digital High-Capacity is the next generation of SD Cards. New specifications allow SDHC cards to achieve capacities of 4GB all the way up to 32GB. SD cards only offer up to 2GB. In addition to higher capacities, SDHC cards also offer a substantial performance advantage over SD cards which is defined by a new speed class ratings system.

    What is the difference between SD and SDHC?

    Both SD and SDHC cards share the same physical attributes. SD cards are compatible with both SD and SDHC enhanced devices. SDHC cards, however, are compatible only with SDHC enhanced devices. The following diagram demonstrates how SD and SDHC cards relate to one another:

    How do I know if an SDHC card will work in my device?

    In order for your SDHC card to function, you must have it inserted into an SDHC compatible device. Ensure that your device has the SDHC logo on the packaging or in the product manual.
