100% Guaranteed Compatible
Your Dell Dimension uses PC-2100 type memory.
Your Dell Dimension can support up to 2GB of memory. For optimal performance install the maximum amount of memory in each socket.
Your system comes standard with 128MB of RAM. If you have upgraded your system then you may have a different amount.
A bank is a group of memory sockets. A socket is where a memory module is inserted. A bank can have one or more sockets.
One or more of the sockets in your system is already filled with memory. When you upgrade your system, you can either add memory to one of the open sockets and/or remove memory from a filled socket and replace it with a higher capacity memory module.
Your Dell Dimension 2400 has 2 banks of 1 socket each for a total of 2 memory sockets.
*We recommend you upgrade your computer to the latest BIOS revision prior to upgrading your memory.
ETC tests each RAM module to ensure compatiblity with your Dell system. The memory modules listed above are guaranteed to work in your Dell Dimension 2400.

Product worked well in a dell dimension 2400 desktop. The computer is to be an office replacement in case another develops a problem or fails.
This provided the maximum ram and increased the speed considerably.

I got two 1GB rams for the same price for only one at Dell. I was worried at first because you "get what you pay for". I was worried it would not work, but Edge has a money back gaurantee, so I had went for it. I am happy I did. I watched the videos on how to install the RAM and everything is working great.

I've been ordering from Edge on and off for several years and they have always been consistently reliable. Their website is very easy to navigate and their customer service is excellent.
The only time I returned something, it was because I ordered some memory that I didn't need and the return process was quick and effortless. Their prices are fair and products have always worked flawlessly in my experience.

I needed a little extra space on my computer for a work at home job and this was absolutely perfect. It was very easy to install and gave me the memory I needed on my computer! It was very reasonably priced compared to some other computer stores. I was even able to use an online coupon code which saved me 10% on my entire purchase! It also arrived very quickly in the mail so I was able to start my new job within the week. If I need more memory in the future I know I will order from Edge Tech Corporation! Thanks Edge Tech Corporation!

This is the 2nd Dell pc that I have upgraded memory on, and each time I purchased the ram from EdgeTech.
Both times the shipment arrived within days and in perfect condition. It was easy to install and replaced the Dell ram currently installed without any problems at all. I would highly recommend (and have) any of the products sold by EdgetTech!

How can one review a memory module? There is not much to say about the module itself but a lot to say about the company that supplies it. Order processing and customer service are key features of Edgetech's business. The easy to use website helps to identify the correct module and the ordering process is easy to complete. Orders arrive in a timely manner.
But there are a few aspects of the order and fulfillment process that needs "tweaking."
It is difficult to contact the company for order fulfillment information. An email to "info@edgetechcorp.com", an address that appears on many business information websites, was returned with an addressee unknown indication. A call to the 800 number resulted in several unsuccessful attempts to make contact. The first call gave the option to contact someone in customer service and then rolled to an unidentified voice mail. A second call attempt rolled to a fax machine. A third call was made to sales instead of customer service and the sales representative was able to confirm the order and provide a UPS tracking number.
Edgetech is a top-notch company. You can order products with confidence.
But a few simple fixes will help improve the company and its service.
Fix the 800 number call director. If the company customer service is closed after business hours or on weekends, say so. If customer service is 24/7, then you might want to check with your supplier [Biz-Rate?] to make sure you are getting what you pay for. Easy test. Call your own customer service department and see what happens.
Having the UPS tracking number as part of the invoice and on the order tracking information on your website would be helpful and would make tracking orders much easier for customers.

My Dell Dimension 4400 had gotten so slow that I would start it up and go make a pot of coffee before even trying to do anything on it. I saw that I could double my RAM for fourteen bucks and thought what they heck...I'll try it. WOW! what a difference. I popped the card in the empty slot (be sure to push hard enough to hear the click) and turned it on and it was starting back up before I got back in my chair. It was like getting a new computer for $14! The hardest thing about the whole process was getting the computer open. It shipped quickly too. I have bookmarked this site for future computer needs. I'll check here first.

Easy to find what I needed and the company was very prompt with providing me a link to the UPS site to track shipment.
Only question I had was surprised when the UPS arrived there was a COD charge for a shipping fee, when I paid for shipping in my purchase price.
Memory or RAM is a piece of hardware in your computer that holds software applications that you are working on. It serves as temporary working space between your computer’s hard drive and CPU.
Adding memory will improve your computer’s performance. Specifically, it will speed up opening new applications, running multiple applications at once, and switching between software applications (multi-tasking).
One task that additional memory speeds up is opening a new software application. Let’s take this as an example. When you open a new application on your computer, your computer’s CPU fetches the application from the hard drive and stores it in RAM memory. It stores it in RAM because RAM is very fast relative to the hard drive. When RAM gets full, and you open a new application then the CPU needs to kick out one of your open applications, put it back on the slow hard drive, fetch the new application from the hard drive, and place the new application in RAM. Basically, it swaps the applications.
This game of swapping wastes time. Ideally, your computer could have an infinite amount of RAM. Then your CPU would fetch an application once from the hard drive, save it into RAM, and never need to kick out another application. There is no such thing as infinite RAM, but you can max out the RAM on your computer by adding the maximum amount of memory to each socket.
To max out your RAM memory, add the maximum amount of memory to each memory socket. To find out how much RAM each socket can support, divide the system maximum RAM amount by the total number of sockets in your system.
For example, if your system maximum RAM is 2GB, and your system has 2 total sockets then the maximum amount each socket can support is 1GB. If one of the sockets is already filled then you can always remove the existing module and replace it with a higher capacity module.
No. The 1975 Magnusson-Moss Act prevents OEM manufacturers from disqualifying a warranty when 3rd party memory is used. For more details, please see the Magnuson-Moss Act.
Memory speed refers to the amount of time that memory (RAM) takes to put data into its memory or send it out. Your device’s memory will have an upper limit on the speed at which it can operate.
A memory kit is a number of memory modules sold as a unit or a kit. For example, a 1GB memory kit will contain two 512MB modules. This is written as (2x512MB).
