NOTE: Firmware updates may result in loss of data. It is important to back up your data before updating your firmware.

Blaze Pro Firmware Update – Version 3.3.2 (added 10/19/11)
- Fixed a rare condition when waking from slumber mode that could cause the drive to hang. This can cause a BSoD if the drive is the primary storage boot device.
- Fixed a rarely occurring issue during S3/S4 cycling to handle marginal flash timing. This can cause a BSoD if the drive is the primary storage boot device.
- Fixed an issue during a firmware update where APM would be marked disabled in identify.

Firmware Update Instructions
Windows
- Ensure the Blaze Pro SSD is installed in your computer.
- Download the Firmware Upgrade Tool (Windows).zip and Blaze Pro Firmware - Version X.X.zip (above) files to your computer desktop.
- Unzip the SF_FieldUpdater.exe and the firmware file (ends in .ffp) to your computer desktop.
- Right click on SF_FieldUpdater.exe and “Run as Administrator” to launch the software.
- The software will automatically scan for the Blaze Pro SSD. After the drive labeled ETC Blaze Pro SSD (or similar) appears, click the check mark next to that drive and click Update Firmware…
- Select the firmware file (ends in .ffp) and click OK. The upgrade may take a few minutes to complete.
- Once the upgrade is complete, you can click Rescan for Drives to verify that the firmware version of the Blaze Pro SSD has updated.
- Click Exit to close the software.
Linux
- Ensure the Blaze Pro SSD is installed in your computer.
- Download the Firmware Upgrade Tool (Linux).zip and Blaze Pro Firmware - Version X.X.zip (above) files to your computer desktop.
- Unzip the SF_FieldUpdater_FC12-32-bit (if using a 32-bit system) or the SF_FieldUpdater_FC12-64-bit (if using a 64-bit system) to your computer desktop.
- Unzip the firmware file (ends in .ffp) to your computer desktop.
- Launch the SF_FieldUpdater.exe software.
- The software will automatically scan for the Blaze Pro SSD. After the drive labeled ETC Blaze Pro SSD (or similar) appears, click the check mark next to that drive and click Update Firmware…
- Select the firmware file (ends in .ffp) and click OK. The upgrade may take a few minutes to complete.
- Once the upgrade is complete, you can click Rescan for Drives to verify that the firmware version of the Blaze Pro SSD has updated.
- Click Exit to close the software.
NOTE: This tool is designed to work best with the Fedora operating system. Other versions of Linux may also work, but could possibly require the use of a USB stick and third party bootable software (such as Parted Magic) to run the upgrade tool and successfully update the firmware. Please contact ETC support if you are having problems using the Linux upgrade tool.
