EDGE Memory™ manufactures and distributes all varieties of DIMMs. DIMMs (Dual Inline Memory Modules) are a newer generation of memory upgrades and are created using circuit boards that have 168 pins. DIMMs have become the standard for newer computers and are available in various increments of megabyte size and voltage. They are also available in 'buffered' or 'unbuffered' versions. Smaller versions of DIMMs are also available. These include "Small Outline" DIMMs ("SODIMMs") and "Micro DIMMs". These are generally made for laptops, where much smaller modules are needed to achieve maximum utilization of space.
