Frequently Asked Questions

DiskGO USB Hard Drive with Migo

1) How do I start MigoSync?
Double-click on the ‘MigoSetup.exe’ file located on your portable device and follow the on screen instructions. Once complete, double click on either the MigoSync.exe icon or the MigoSyncEncrypt.exe icon to begin using MigoSync.

2) What is MigoSync?
MigoSync provides you with the freedom and flexibility to carry your entire computer profile with you on your portable device. This profile includes:

    - All of your files and folders
    - Microsoft Outlook® emails, contacts, calendar, and notes
    - Microsoft Outlook Express or Windows Mail emails, and contacts
    - Mozilla Thunderbird emails and contacts
    - Internet Explorer™ favorites, history, and cookies
    - Mozilla Firefox bookmarks, history, and cookies
    - Desktop icons and wallpaper

You can carry your profile with you from one PC to another and work without altering the guest computer. MigoSync automatically synchronizes the updated files to the main computer when you return, eliminating the need for you to e-mail the altered documents back to yourself or track the changes.

3) What is the difference between MigoSync and MigoSync Encrypted Zone?
Both applications function exactly the same; you can synch all of your files and settings to your drive using either MigoSync or MigoSync Encrypted Zone. MigoSync Encrypted Zone provides you with the added benefit of encrypting your data using government standard 256-bit AES encryption when you are not logged into the MigoSync software. Your synched files are actually stored in an encrypted sector of your drive and require a password to access them as well as to run the MigoSync Encrypted Zone application.

4) I lost the files needed to run MigoSync, how do I get the application again?
Please visit the following website to download the setup file needed to reinstall the MigoSync application:

If you receive this message, you are using an older version of MigoSync. Follow the steps in item 6 to install MigoSync 3.1.

6) How do I upgrade to MigoSync 3.1?
    1. Open the folder named ‘Migo Application Files’ on your portable device.

    4. Restart your computer.
    5. Download 'MigoSetup.zip' from http://www.edgetechcorp.com/support/products/portable-drives/usb-flash-drive/downloads/MigoSetup.zip and then copy the 'MigoSetup.exe' file contained within the zip file onto your portable device.

8) I am working at a guest PC and cannot access my synched Outlook emails.
To use Outlook while in login mode, you must first make sure that Outlook is installed and a valid mail account is configured on the host computer. If there is no mail account configured, MigoSync is unable to run Outlook in login mode.
